These are pre-paid blood draw, saliva or urine tests. You must make an appointment at a local LabCorp in your area for testing and follow pre-testing requirements before arrival. Your lab results will appear in your patient portal within 2-5 days for most tests, unless otherwise advised.
1. CBC with Differentials and Platelets Blood Test
This test measures the amount of red blood cells (RBC), white blood cells (WBC), and platelets (PLT) in your blood; and evaluates and monitors blood diagnose health conditions and track treatment response. Some common indications of such disorders may include:
- Jaundice
- Abdominal pain and bloating
- Swelling in the legs and ankles
- Itchiness
- Dark urine
- Pale stool
- Fatigue
- Nausea or vomiting
2. Anemia Essential Blood Test Panel
This panel can detect the nutritional factors causing pathology.
Tests include: iron serum and total iron-binding capacity (TIBC), ferritin test; transferrin test; complete blood count (CBC) with differential and platelets; Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP-14) with eGFR Blood Test: Glucose, Kidney profile, liver panel, fluids and electrolytes; Vitamin B-12, Folic Acid and Hemoglobin Solubility.
This test also helps for selecting optimal dietary, nutritional and traditional herbal remedies that balance qi and blood.
3. Anemia Extreme Blood and Stool Test
This test can detect the nutritional and pathological causes of anemia in blood and stool.
Tests include: iron serum and total iron-binding capacity (TIBC), ferritin test; transferrin test; complete blood count (CBC) with differential and platelets; Comprehensive Metabolic Panel (CMP-14) with eGFR Blood Test: Glucose, Kidney profile, liver panel, fluids and electrolytes; Vitamin B-12, Folic Acid; Hemoglobin Solubility. Homocysteine, Occult Blood Fecal, and Reticulocyte Count.
This test also helps for selecting optimal dietary, nutritional and traditional herbal remedies that balance qi and blood.
4. Routine Blood Culture
This test helps screen for bacterial and fungal infections in a blood sample. Blood culture testing is often used to diagnose infections and identify the specific germ causing it. This enables further testing and determines the most effective treatment. Many diseases are caused by pathogens that linger in the body. In Chinese medicine, untreated or undertreated exogenous pathogenic factors move inward to damage qi, blood and body fluids. Further damage will damage tissue functioning. An example is rheumatic fever causing heart symptoms. Common signs or symptoms of these conditions may include:
- Fever
- Chills
- Fast heartbeat
- Rapid breathing
- Low blood pressure
- Confusion
- Gastrointestinal problems
5. Red Blood Cell Elements Test
This test helps with monitoring the effectiveness of nutritional supplementing as minerals regulate each other. The absorption, transport and metabolism of essential elements is highly integrated and regulated. Replacement and maintenance of adequate levels of essential nutrients can markedly reduce the apparent adverse "side effects" associated with the use of detoxification agents and the general effects of mobilization of toxic elements.
Additionally, this test evaluates potential exposure to mineral levels that cause toxicity. For example, excess intake of zinc or molybdenum can result in copper deficiency and, although essential, excess retention of manganese can have serious neurotoxic effects. Disorders specifically associated with zinc deficiency are also addressed by this analysis. These disorders include loss of visual acuity, dysgeusia, dermatitis and poor wound healing, alopecia, amino acid malabsorption, sexual impotence, decreased production of testosterone, depressed immune function and growth retardation. It is important to note that some diseases are associated with abnormal levels of blood cell elements that could be misleading with respect to nutritional status. For example, blood cell copper can be temporarily elevated during inflammatory response while liver levels are not.
RBC element analysis is also useful for the assessment of ongoing or very recent exposure to specific toxic elements that accumulate preferentially in erythrocytes.
Results help to quickly pinpoint imbalances underlying conditions such as chronic fatigue, depression, ADHD, and cardiovascular disease.
This test also helps for selecting optimal dietary, nutritional and traditional herbal remedies that balance qi and blood.
6. NMR LipoProfile® Test
This test is also known as The Particle Test and provides a direct measure of your LDL particle number (LDL-P) along with your standard cholesterol results. Blood lipids in Chinese medicine is associated with pathogenic dampness and phlegm. They affect qi and blood slowly and are difficult to treat. The stubborn characteristic of dampness and phlegm complicate these diseases and lead to these morbidities:
- Diabetes
- High blood pressure
- Overweight/Obesity
- Cardiometabolic risk
- Metabolic syndrome
- Low HDL (dyslipidemia)
- High triglycerides
7. Fatty Acids Plasma Profile- Genova Test Kit
This test for omega- 3 and omega- 6 fatty acid balance and levels in the blood. Omega-6 and omega-3 polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFA) are precursors of potent lipid mediators, termed eicosanoids, which play an important role in the regulation of inflammation and immune responses. The multiple types of eicosanoids, such as prostaglandins (PGs) and leukotrienes (LTs), allow the innate immune cells to respond rapidly to bacterial invaders and have anti-inflammatory responses throughout the body. This test also guides the need to include additional Omega oil supplementation and helps with the following:
- Patient compliance: It helps patients see why more supplementation is necessary because improper fatty acid intake affects the balance of anti- and pro-inflammatory eicosanoids, thus increasing health risks
- Whether statins are helping or harming: They are among the top five drugs prescribed for lipid disorders and have been shown to unfavorably alter this inflammatory balance.
- Increased free radical production: Consumption of polyunsaturated fatty acids (PUFAs) without increasing antioxidant intake will cause increased production of free radicals.
- Immune suppression: Excessive consumption of omega-3 fatty acids can suppress immune function, leading to infections and poor wound healing.
